The president of the University of Dubai was among dozens of women honored for their achievements in business, health, media, the arts, and technology at the fourth annual Excellence Awards in Dubai on Sunday.
Dr. Eesa Mohammed Al Bastaki received the "Best in Service & Relationship Management" award, while Dr. Mahra Ahmad Lutfi won the "Best in Health" award, Gulf News reports.
Other winners included Dr. Sowjan Hume Satish in the "Best Anaesthesiologist & Pain Specialist" category, and Rupali Rakshit in the "Best in Events & Entertainment" category.
The awards are organized by Gulf News, which notes that the first female minister of the United Arab Emirates, Shaikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, spoke at the event.
