So says the Arizona Community Foundation, which offers a guide to philanthropy for families in the wake of the Orlando shooting.
Here's what you need to know: The basics: The foundation explains that family philanthropy "fosters a sense of unity, purpose, and shared priorities within a family, while supporting causes that are meaningful to them."
Examples: scholarships for students who might not otherwise continue their education, for instance.
