There's a new face at the Community Foundation of the Ozarks in Springfield, Mo., but it's not the kind you might expect.

Rather, it's Ashley Silva, who has been promoted to vice president of development and philanthropic services, the Springfield News-Leader reports.

Silva, who grew up in the area and has a bachelor's and a master's degree from Drury University, has worked for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks for seven years.

In her new role, she'll help manage the foundation's network of more than 50 affiliate foundations in central and southern Missouri.

Before joining the CFO, Silva worked for a decade in community foundation donor relations, corporate philanthropy, and philanthropic fundraising in Dallas, Texas, according to a press release.

In her new role, Silva will focus on helping donors and nonprofit partners "build charitable resources to improve the quality of life across central and southern Missouri," the release notes.

The release notes that Silva has helped manage the foundation's network of more than 50 regional affiliate foundations, and that she's held the designation of Chartered Advisory in Philanthropy from the American College of Financial Services.
