A private school in India has opened a studio where students can draw and paint for free.
The Ryan Creative Studio, powered by Faber- Castell, is the first of its kind in the world and is designed "to provide a holistic experience where young minds can explore and create without any predefined boundaries," Ryan Group of Schools CEO Ryan Pinto says in a press release.
The wood-cased pencils, paints, and other supplies are provided by Faber- Castell, which says in a statement that "for nearly 3 centuries, Faber- Castell has been a creative companion to school kids and artists alike, providing products and tools that inspire them to unleash their creativity."
Ryan International School in Chembur says it plans to roll out the studio to other schools in the country.
The press release describes the studio as a "creative haven" where students will have "plenty opportunities to express and explore themselves in the realm of art."
The school says it hopes the studio will "inspire and raise interest in our students, fostering a love for learning that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of the classroom."
It's not the first time a school has opened an art studio.
