Women in Distress is among four distinguished local non-profits to receive funding from The Community Foundation of Broward.
The grant will provide financial assistance to 150 domestic violence survivors to aid them in getting on their feet and attaining financial stability.
In the previous year alone, Women In Distress provided more than 45,000 nights of safe shelter, answered over 12,000 calls to its 24-Hour Crisis Hotline and provided over 21,000 hours of counseling and therapy.
