Bill Gates isn't just a billionaire, he's a "true icon in the realms of technology, business, and philanthropy," according to 24/7 Wall St.
The Microsoft co-founder, who has a net worth of $113.9 billion, is also known for his philanthropy, which has seen him and his ex-wife, Melinda, establish the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, "one of the largest private charitable foundations globally."
The Gateses have given away more than $30 billion, with most of that going to their foundation, which focuses on education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
Gates has also invested in a number of startups and ventures outside of Microsoft.
