Colorado's El Pomar Foundation has awarded $62,500 in grants to 11 nonprofit organizations and government entities in the San Luis Valley, the Colorado Springs Gazette reports.
Among the recipients: Care and Share, Inc.: $7,000 San Luis Valley Soup Kitchen and Emergency Shelter: $20,000 City of Alamosa: $20,000 San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society: $3,000 The HadaNou Collective: $10,000 Shooting Stars Cultural and Leadership Center: $10,000 Valley Citizens Foundation for Health Care, Inc.: $2,500 Del Norte: $2,500
