The Berrien Community Foundation awarded more than $230,000 in grants during its 70th Annual Meeting and Celebration this week.
Among the recipients, per a release: Well of GRACE Ministries, $50,000 for its Raising Kids with Character program and the Readiness Center, $50,000 for its literacy and social-emotional support programs, $75,000 for the Alamar Nonprofit Sustainability Grant, $50,000 for the Upton Love Your Community Grant for Present Pillars to help build strong fathers, and $50,000 for the Golden Acorn Excellence Award to HOPE Resources in Coloma for its work with low-income families.
