Melissa DeLaet is the CEO of the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation, a nonprofit that works to improve the lives of people in Grand Island, Neb.

"We were needing a little bit more space for our own operations, but then also wanted to also have the opportunity to have a community resource and a community room," DeLaet tells KSNB.

That community room, which can hold up to 52 people, was one of the reasons GGICF bought a new building in June 2021 and fully renovated it earlier this year.

"There's upgraded technology and that type of thing and for nonprofits in Hall County available at no cost," DeLaet says.

"The room can hold up to 52 people and has the potential to be one of Grand Island's best resources," she adds.
