The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awarded grants amounting to $764,500 for education, housing, health, art, and neighborhood initiatives. The recipients of the grants are Grand Rapids Schools, the Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids, Spectrum Health, the Creston Neighborhood Association, and ArtPrize.
The Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids received the biggest part of the grant amounting to $400,000 to aid in the support of affordable and quality housing options.

Nonprofit impact investing firm, Acumen, has invested $1.2 million to KZ Noir, a Rwanda-based coffee processing company owned by Kaizen Venture Partners. The investment will equip KZ Noir the funds for working capital, debt refinancing, and capacity expansion.
