Foundation: Grays Harbor Community Foundation

The Grays Harbor Community Foundation announced awarded over $130,000 to 5 School Districts throughout Grays Harbor in Technology in the Classroom grants as well as 235 scholarships and renewals totaling $334,000.

Chairman Rich Vroman of the Scholarship Committee said that they are proud of the fact that they support students from all backgrounds pursuing a wide variety of dreams and they encourage the public to contribute and donate as well.

To address the ongoing issue of student dropouts, Toronto District School Board (TDSB) teacher Craig Morrison started a school-business program called the Oasis Skateboard Factory (OSF) to help keep teens stay in school.
