National Alliance on Mental Illness South Dakota Receives Award
Foundation: Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation
Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation recently lauded the South Dakota affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness for the successful launch of a new service that comes to the aid of individuals caught up in mental health crises.
National Alliance on Mental Illness collected the 2012 Community Spirit Award and a $5000 grant. The award is given each year to a local nonprofit that uses a modest Community Foundation grant to get big results.
