The Cherokee Preservation Foundation has awarded twenty-four new grants in the amount of $1.8 million to support cultural preservation, economic development, job creation and environmental preservation.
One recipient is the Museum of the Cherokee Indian which will use the funds to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Emissaries of Peace, host the Southeast Tribes Festival and continue the Snowbird Cherokee language camp.
