The community of Fordyce, Ark., is reeling after Friday's mass shooting that left four people dead, including the suspected gunman.
"None of us ever imagined we would have to respond in the aftermath of a shooting in a peaceful town like Fordyce," says Arkansas Sen.
Matt Stone, per the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
"But we're determined to rally around this community to recover it."
The Arkansas Community Foundation has set up the Survivors Fund to provide financial support to victims and their families.
"We have gained experience in helping rebuild communities following other disasters over the years, and we work with partners that have vast experience in mass shootings in mass shootings in mass shootings," says the president and CEO of the foundation, which has also partnered with Victim's First and the Survivors Fund.
