The 30-foot dome at the Museum of Innovation and Science in Albany, New York, is about to get a little bigger.
The museum has received a $12,500 grant from the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region to fund upgrades to the planetarium's equipment, the Albany Times Union reports.
Among other things, the grant will allow the museum to install a new digital display system, as well as make improvements to the building's sound system and projector.
"miSci will continue to expand on Planetarium programming, and investing in critically needed technology upgrades will allow the Museum to do that for years to come," the museum's vice president of education says.
