Grant Purpose - To Support The Phoenix Project, A Program Housed At Ycd, To Support Young People Living In Hope Sf Communities To Achieve Their Goals And Succeed In Employment, Education Attainment, Health And Wellness. Specifically, This Grant Will Enable The Phoenix Project To Engage In Dual-generation, Family-centered Case Conferences In Partnership With Government Agencies, Service Providers, And Phoenix Project Staff To Create A Coordinated System Of Care For Opportunity Youth And Their Families. To 1) Engage Residents Of Hope Sf Sites, Especially Alice Griffith And Hunters View, Related To Economic Success, Being Valued In Community, And Power And Autonomy, A Project That Leverages The National Mobilitylabs Opportunity; And 2) To Finalize The Development Of The Phoenix Project Database. To Support Young Community Developers In Providing Bayview Hunters Point's Most Housing Vulnerable Residents With Cash Assistance And Technical Assistance. Grant Purpose - Funds From The Hearts & Hands Grant Will Be Used In Operational Support Of Our Emergency Shelter And Therapy Programs For Adults And Children Impacted By Domestic Violence. All Of Our Services Are Free Of Charge, So Clients Can Focus On Healing, Safety And Increased Well-being, Without Worry Of Having To Pay For Services. Annually, We Provide Over 1,000 Nights Of Safe Shelter And Provide Therapy To Over 300 Adults And Children, Many Of Whom Without The Crisis Center Would Remain In Unsafe Homes And Relationships. While In Shelter, We Assist Clients With Fresh Food, Daily Essentials, Personal Hygiene Items, Gas Cards, And Other Resources To Help Them Move Toward Self-sufficiency. Our Therapy Program Utilizes Items Including Art Supplies, Children's Toys, Dress Up Clothes, And Sand-tray Toys To Help Adults And Children Heal From The Trauma They Have Experienced.
