Demos: A Network for Ideas and Action Grant

Organization - Demos: A Network for Ideas and Action
Grant Amount - $100,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - Demos: A Network for Ideas and Action believes that current public views and discourse about government not only present a real danger for our democracy but also undermine government's ability to address current and future social and economic challenges. The Public Works Program is confronting this dynamic directly by engaging nonprofits, elected officials, and the media in reclaiming public debate about government and its critical role in promoting the common good. Mott funds will support the grantee's ongoing research, public education, training and outreach efforts, which provide these target audiences with effective strategies and tools for shifting public opinion about government and creating a sound base for debating the important issues facing the nation today and into the future. Founded in 2000, Demos is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to building a society where America can achieve its highest democratic ideals.
