Mott FoundationGrant Purpose - This grant provides general purpose support to Youth Communication Center - Banja Luka, a leading nongovernmental organization in Bosnia-Herzegovina that promotes tolerance and understanding among youth; advocates for systemic change in the country's educational system; provides training and mentoring to youth initiatives throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina; and participates in a wide variety of in-country and regional peace-building initiatives. Continued Mott support will enable the center to strengthen its organizational capacity, diversify its funding base, and broaden the impact of its successful programs. During the past two years, the center has supported the development of 109 student councils, helped to establish voluntary services in six municipalities, and provided space and support to informal community education programs.
