Community Foundation of Howard County Inc.



It started with a dream and $10,000 in startup funding from the United Way of Howard County in 1989. Today, the Community Foundation of Howard County is home to more than 100 funds representing a broad range of donor and community interests. From its incorporation on March 6, 1991, the foundation has grown into the largest single grantmaker in the county.

The number and dollar amounts of grants being given in the community continue to grow. Those grants, however, are all the direct or indirect result of a donor's interest in the community. To all of our donors, we say thank you for your generosity. The community foundation exists as a vehicle to help individuals and organizations realize their charitable dreams.
