The Aplington-Parkersburg Area Community Foundation is an organization to provide an opportunity for more people to give more gifts that will result in improving the quality of life in the Aplington-Parkersburg Area. Each gift given can be designated to either an Aplington or a Parkersburg project or be left undesignated. Undesignated gifts will be awarded via grant applications by the Aplington-Parkersburg Area Community Foundation committee. The committee consists of residents of both communities.
Brittany Merrill Underwood, who took up a teaching position in rural Uganda, has made it her life’s mission to empower marginalized women to “transform the physical and spiritual livelihoods of their families and communities.”
