Connecticut Community Foundation

Founded in 1923, the Connecticut Community Foundation is the state's first community foundation. Started by seven local civic and business leaders as the Waterbury Foundation, its original mission was to "improve the social and living conditions in Waterbury and vicinity." The Foundation's service area has expanded over the years and today reaches north to Goshen, south to Oxford, east to Cheshire and west to New Milford.
