Community Foundation of Henderson County Inc.



For twenty-five years, the Community Foundation of Henderson County has been helping people who care make lasting contributions to causes that matter. The Foundation offers donors simple ways to achieve their charitable goals and provides support to nonprofit organizations who offer needed and meaningful services to our community.

In 2007, CFHC distributed $2.9 million to several nonprofit organizations and scholarship seekers in the Henderson County region and beyond. With assets of $74 million, CFHC comprises more than 370 different charitable funds.

Sustainable Principles for an Innovating Nigeria


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) released the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles, an agreement signed by 34 banks, including the original eight of the nation’s leading banks, that covered nine key areas: environmental and social risk management, environmental and social footprint, human rights, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, environmental and social governance, capacity building, collaborative partnerships and reporting.
