The W.K. Kellogg Foundation was established in 1930 by breakfast cereal pioneer W.K. Kellogg. They defined their purpose as administering funds for the promotion of the welfare, comfort, health, education, feeding, clothing, sheltering, and safeguarding of children and youth, directly or indirectly, without regard to sex, race, creed, or nationality.


Over the past years, the foundation's programming has continued to evolved. They strive to remain innovative and responsive with the ever changing needs of the society.


the foundation's mission is to support children, families, and communities as they strengthen and create conditions that propel vulnerable children to achieve success as individuals and as contributors to the larger community and society.

Social Enterprise Network Sites


The Larder Cook School in West Lothian is a social enterprise that trains young people for a career in the food business. Recently, the school has launched a crowdfunder to help it teach another 80 students a year.
