Community Foundation of Acadiana

Community Foundation of Acadiana is a tax-exempt, non-profit, non-sectarian public charity that provides individuals, families, corporations and foundations, in Acadiana, a visionary and rewarding approach to philanthropy - immediately and in perpetuity. Because we are donor-focused, our singular mission is to ensure each donor's legacy is wisely invested, each grant is effective and that a donor's family name is proudly preserved forever. As a 'public' foundation, as opposed to a 'private' (family) foundation, Community Foundation of Acadiana provides maximum tax benefits for donors.

The Foundation is not the end-beneficiary! As a result, it can respond to long-standing as well as to new and emerging local needs under its broad charitable mandate. Over the last 90 years, very successful models have demonstrated this as over 650 such foundations have emerged throughout the country providing unprecedented charitable benefit to the communities they serve. Community Foundation of Acadiana is the premier community-based philanthropic organization for Acadiana.
