The Heron Creek Community Foundation has now contributed over $750,000 to individuals and families in need throughout the city of North Port.
"We are honored to share a remarkable milestone," the foundation's board of directors says.
The foundation's goal is to raise $1.5 million over the next five years to help those in need in North Port and beyond.
