A new UN task force is developing a global framework for companies and financial institutions to report on the social risks and opportunities associated with their activities, the New York Times reports.
The Task Force on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures, or TISFD, will be launched in 2024 and will be similar to previous UN task forces on climate-related financial disclosure and on nature-related financial disclosure, according to a press release.
The TISFD will be led by Sharan Burrows, chair of the UN's Task Force on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures.
