"From books to food to access to healthcare, [Ramona Community Foundation] has selected 15 nonprofits committed to improving the lives of Ramona residents of all ages," board chair Robert Krysak says in a press release.
"We are confident their programs will build a more vibrant community and will continue to help those who need it most."
The foundation, a regional affiliate of the San Diego Foundation, has given $57,500 to 15 nonprofits in the San Diego County town, including $4,500 to an elementary school where students with moderate-severe disabilities will be able to participate in a after-school program, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The Burn Institute, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, and Girls on the Run San Diego also received grants.
"We are confident their programs will build a more vibrant community and will continue to help those who need it most," Krysak says.
