There's a new way to give and a new way to get it done.

Mashable reports on the Public-Philanthropic Partnership, a new way for philanthropists to work with nonprofits to solve some of the world's most pressing problems.

The idea is to work with both the public and private sectors to find solutions to some of the world's most pressing issues, such as climate change and poverty, and then share the resulting solutions with the rest of the world.

The idea has been around for a while, but it's been gaining traction recently, according to a McKinsey & Co.

report.

For example, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed $50 million to a climate change fund called the Global Climate Action Fund, which plans to work with some of the world's most vulnerable communities.
