California Gov.
Gavin Newsom has tasked a new group with coming up with a plan to boost the state's creative economy, the Los Angeles Times reports.
"We are deeply grateful for this opportunity afforded us by the Legislature to contribute to a sustainable future of opportunities for workforce development in all sectors of the creative economy," says Jonathan Moscone, executive director of the California Arts Council, which is leading the Creative Economy Workgroup.
The group, which was announced Tuesday, is tasked with developing a strategic plan that will be presented to the Legislature by June 30, 2025.
