India's prime minister is set to visit Seattle next month, and the city's Seattle University is making the most of the opportunity.
The university is hosting a conference Sept.
6 called Seattle-Setu that will focus on the "pivotal role in building economic and political bridges" between the US and India, the Seattle Times reports.
"Our hope is that the Seattle-Setu conference will highlight the importance of India to this region and position Seattle University as a convenor for conversations about India and US-India relations and as a bridge between the greater Seattle community and the world's largest democracy," Seattle University President Eduardo Pe ? alver says in a press release.
Among the speakers will be US Rep.
Pramila Jayapal, Deputy Majority Leader of the Washington State Senate Manka Dhingra, and Samir Kumar, Vice President, International Consumer, Amazon, Raj Shah, and more.
