"It's an honor to welcome them into my A11Even TRIBE as they have welcomed me into the Anta FAMILY," Kyrie Irving tweeted Tuesday, referring to the Chinese sportswear company that has signed him to a five-year shoe deal.
The Dallas Mavericks star had a previous deal with Nike canceled after he promoted an anti-Semitic film on Twitter and initially refused to apologize, NextShark reports.
He'll also serve as the company's chief creative officer.
"As Chief Creative Officer, I will push our teams domestically and internationally to unite like minded Trailblazers who have the vision to create and build their craft to transcend the footwear/Apparel industry for generations to come," Irving said in a statement.
Irving's signature shoe is expected to be out in 2024.
