The Greater Lowell Community Foundation has awarded $150,000 in grants to seven Massachusetts nonprofits to help with mental health issues in the wake of the H1N1 flu pandemic.
The grants, awarded through the foundation's COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund, will be used to support a social worker at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica, among other programs, reports the Lowell Sun.
"People today, more than ever, are facing pressures, stress, and other mental health issues, post pandemic," says the club's CEO.
"We are so grateful to GLCF for their impactful generosity as we work on this critical issue together."
