Jefferson, Iowa, is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and the town's Bell Tower Festival, which runs from Friday to Sunday, is a big part of it.
The Mahanay Bell Tower and the Festival have been "a part of our history for many years, and the GCCF is proud to help in supporting the trademark of our town, and the weekend celebration," the foundation says on its website.
Over the past 16 years, the foundation has given more than $21,000 to support the festival and the tower, including upgrades to the tower's lobby, apenny press, and shade structures, the Des Moines Register reports.
"The Bell Tower and the Festival, which highlight our county, have been a part of our history for many years, and the GCCF is proud to help in supporting the trademark of our town, and the weekend celebration," the foundation says.
