Beth Drucker, a long-time Wilmette resident, bagged the District 39 Educational Foundation's 2014 Distinguished Citizen award.
Drucker had helped create the district's first school garden at Highcrest Middle School and is a cofounder and president of the environmental advocacy group Go Green Wilmette. She will be honored during a reception and awards ceremony at the Michigan Shores Club on April 17.
