Elmira College, a private liberal arts educational institution, has received a first-time grant from the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation, founded by Faulkner, of Owego, who died 30 years ago.
The $16,000 grant will be used for Tioga County students in need of extra financial aid. According to the college, it administers more than $20 million in financial aid to its students.
