The Community Foundation of the Quincy Area, a nonprofit resource that serves 13 counties in West-Central Illinois, Northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa, receives $1.5 million in gifted assets that came from a private foundation that was turning over all of its assets.
The terminated private foundation reserved the right to be anonymous, which will pay the community foundation a fee for its services.
