The V Foundation for Cancer Research will award $1 million grants for cancer research to help the New York City first responders who worked at Ground Zero.
The grant will fund research for the early detection of hematological cancers associated with toxic dirt and rubble. The grant will also be presented at FDNY Headquarters in conjunction with the launching of The V Foundation’s celebration of its 20th anniversary.
