It has been two years since Warren Buffett and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation launched the effort called Giving Pledge, where they convince the world's wealthiest people to commit more than half of their assets to philanthropy.
In June 2010, four families had made the commitment. And by August of 2010, 36 more joined, and since then the list has more than doubled.
