The Diabetes Scholars Foundation has awarded its 12 2012 college scholarship grantees with type 1 diabetes.
According to Diabetes Scholars Foundation president Mary Podjasek, each scholarship grantees have demonstrated passion for learning in addition to being pillars of their communities while managing their type 1 diabetes.
The foundation also recognized students who are active participants in the diabites community and those who have high academic performance, who participate in extra-curricular activites, and who successfully manage their diabetes.
