Jacquelyn “Jackie” Rosenlof, a philanthropist, suffered colon cancer and dies at the age of 81 at her home in Kearney. She was a supporter of bringing public transportation to Kearney, believed in proper etiquette and supported many other issues in the community. In 2009, she was honored as an outstanding philanthropist in the community at the Celebration of Giving by Kearney Area Community Foundation.
Rosenlof served on a number of boards including the Kearney Area Community Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraska Library Commission, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, Kearney Public Library Board of Trustees, Kearney Trolleys Inc., Kearney Community Redevelopment Authority and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing Task Force.
