New Jersey officials unveiled a mobile application "New Jersey Charity Lookup" that gives users instant access to financial data from thousands of charities in the state.
The application is updated weekly, offering revenue and expense breakdowns for 26,000 registered nonprofit groups, drawn from fiscal reports filed with the state. According to Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa, it was developed to make it easier than ever to know where your money will go, before you donate.
