The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties has initiated a $25,000 entrepreneurial grant to help bring more businesses to downtown Utica.
The Impact Opportunity Challenge, was able to be put into reality thanks to The Foundation's Corporate Partners, it is open to individuals and groups that possess an innovative business concept for one of the four Utica neighborhoods that this Challenge focuses upon: Downtown, Bagg's Square, Brewery District or Bleecker/East District.
Start-ups and fairly new businesses are eligible to turn in an application, which is due Wednesday, April 13. Winning applicants will be eligible to receive up to $25,000 in moneys to give their new or young businesses a jump start.
