Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies will shut down at the end of 2015.

The foundation will be best remembered for its role in the creation of Birthright Israel.

The organization was initiated and driven by Bronfman and businessman Michael Steinhardt.

ACBP's tag line has been "investing in next generations," says Joel Fleishman, Center on Strategic Philanthropy and Civil Society.
