The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan has announced the first round of grants from its recently reactivated Urgent Needs Fund.
The funding will help provide essentials like food, warmth, hygiene products, safety supplies, and fuel to individuals and families facing immediate hardships.
The Salvation Army, for disaster response and basic human needs across northeast Michigan, will receive $12,000.
All Saints Parish, to distribute grocery vouchers in Montmorency and Alpena Counties.
One Box, to provide solar lanterns and emergency food boxes to shut-ins.
