Climate Change: Understanding the Los Angeles Fires

Much of Southern California, where Los Angeles is located, is made up of flammable biomes.

Large-scale fires have become more frequent in recent years.

The idea is to use fire to control the amount of biomass in the ecosystem, reducing the accumulation of dry matter and reducing the chances of an accidental or criminal fire starting or spreading.

A fire of this magnitude affects people, local biodiversity, and Los Angeles as a whole.
