Healthy Petaluma awards $500,000 in grants to support youth wellness.
The grants are intended to support projects, initiatives and programs that address the mental, emotional and physical health of local community members between the ages of 5 and 24.
The programs range from mental health services and career development to arts initiatives and community-building activities.
The grant money is a response to ongoing challenges faced by local youth in the post-COVID era.

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
