Amped Leadership, Volunteers Reflect on Bridging Music and Service

The Bienen-sponsored program creates a sense of community through music composition for students at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.

The motivation for creating AMPED stemmed from the goal of extending outreach through music.

To prepare for working with students at JTDC in January, student mentors attend four mandated training sessions led by AMP ED leadership in fall quarter.
