Detroit Will Accept Cryptocurrency in 2025 For Taxes and Fees

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan said the city is preparing to accept cryptocurrency payments for taxes and other fees starting next year.

The idea came from a Detroiter who asked Mayor Duggan at a recent charter-mandated meeting why the city doesn't accept digital currency.

BridgeDetroit is powered by generous grant support from the Knight, Ford, Skillman, Kresge, Wilson, McGregor, and Hudson-Webber foundations.
