If you've ever dreamed of being a doctor, Washington State University may have just the program for you.
The university's College of Medicine is now accepting applications from medical students who want to pursue a master's degree in internal medicine, the Seattle Times reports.
The program, which started in 2014, is a partnership between the college and Pacific Lutheran University.
The idea is to give students a real-world clinical experience before they're admitted to the university's doctor of medicine program.
"The idea is to give them a taste of what it's like to actually care for patients in the real world," says Dr. Kirkpatrick Schmutz, who's been involved with the program for a decade.
The university is currently accepting applications from 30 students, and it hopes to have a total of 60 applicants by the end of 2018.
