Kba Empowers the Next Generation of Philanthropists

When Naomi and Barry Schimmer saw how their 11-year-old grandson, Mason, was doing through the B'nai Tzedek Student Philanthropy Program in Ohio, they decided to bring the program to New Jersey's Kellman Brown Academy.

"Whether it's helping local organizations in our South Jersey community, or supporting organizations across the world, the KBA B'nai Tzedek Student Philanthropy Program helps these pre-teens learn how to make a tangible impact on the world," the school posted on its Facebook page.

"When asked why they decided to sponsor this program, Naomi and Barry said that students are already learning about tzedakah in school, and this program gives them the opportunity to experience the joy of giving tzedakah," the post continues.

"Upon learning that he would be gifted a donor advised fund through the B'nai Tzedek program, KBA student and future philanthropist Mason Lindemann said, "B'nai Tzedek is special to me because it instills the value of tzedakah and giving."
